Lymie of the week

On Instagram during the month of May I have been doing a "Lymie of the day". So I decided to bring it over to my blog and turn it into Lymie of the week. I will be trying to do this throughout the year!
Our first Lymie of the week is Taylor!
"I've been severely sick for three years, since right after I turned 14, but I have probably had Lyme almost my whole life. My daily symptoms can be anything from headaches, migraines, nausea, intestinal pain, extreme fatigue, joint pain, muscle pain, back pain, insomnia, and more. I had to transfer to online school and completely change my life, diet, and honestly my friends since most of them didn't understand why I couldn't go out all the time.  I was doing medical treatment but had a problem and changed to mainly alternative now. What gets me through the day is that one day I will feel better and when I'm not feeling good, my spoonie sisters are always there to encourage and support me. I know God has me sick for a reason, not just to be sick. This will be used for a bigger purpose and all I can do is persevere, keep my faith, and trust in him to use this to help others. "

DIY

Today my mom and I painted my old bookshelf to match the other furniture in my room better and also to look new and amazing for my apartment. I am pretty proud of us! Thank you Pinterest for this great idea-

Picc or Port?

For my English class I had to write a compare and contrast paper so I decided to write it on the topic of choosing between a picc line or a port. I also decided I would share it on here and hopefully help other people with their decision! Here is the link- Picc or Port?

Envita Prom

Today when I walked in for treatment, I was completely surprised because they had planned a prom for me! They had decorated the hallway and treatment room with pink and purple streamers, put pink tablecloths over the credenzas, brought yummy gluten and dairy free food, gotten me flowers, and even had a pink tiara and boa for me!

The window says " Welcome to Envita Prom, Envita Angels"

Me and Nurse Jasmine doing our "prom pose"

Here is the table before we put all the yummy food on it!

They even decorated my IV pole! :)

I usually get there before most of the patients arrive so before they came I had my music playing and was dancing in my chair! First came Candi who we have gotten close to over the weeks. Today was her last day so it was also like a go-away party! We were both very sad to see her go and will miss having someone to talk to on Tuesday and Thursday treatment days.

Next came Patricia! She is seriously one of the sweetest ladies there. She brought me a little princess kit with a tiara, glasses, and gloves! She also brought a beautiful dress for me to wear and a curling iron to do my hair with! It had been so long since someone had done my hair! I honestly could not stop smiling

Patricia also brought pink balloons and a helium tank (which we had extra fun with) and decorated the room with pink balloons and also gave them to patients in the other rooms! This was one fun filled day!  I don't think that I could thank everyone enough. It made me feel so loved and made me feel like a prom queen for a day! Thank you to Katherine (for the flowers, Roz (for more flowers and for being a great, caring nurse and helping plan this!), Jasmine (another nurse who helped plan this), Melissa (another nurse who helped plan and recorded the video), Grant (the girls said he didn't help plan but he always makes me smile and provided us with some entertainment), Candi (for the lovely gift, delicious food, and for including us), Patricia (for the balloons, dress, hair, and making me feel like a queen), and Tori (for the smoothie and food). This was way more than I ever expected from being here and it made not being home seem less bad. And now I can always tell everyone I was Prom queen my senior year ;)
