More on Zambia

Here is more information on when I'll be in Zambia

THE CAUSE

WHAT IS THE NEED IN ZAMBIA?

In Zambia, every 35 seconds a child becomes an AIDS orphan. That is where we can make a difference that lasts a lifetime! Already, more than 710,000 children have lost parents and so many of them are left on the streets. Zambia has the highest level of AIDS orphans.

THE GOSPEL

HOW WILL WE SPREAD THE GOSPEL?

We will be changing the lives of countless children, by letting them know that they may not have parents here on earth, but they have a father in Heaven. Who loves each of them more than they could imagine. Be apart of this mission that they will never forget.
We will be the hands and feet of Jesus, to the poorest of the poor! We will be spending time in orphanages of AIDS victims. And will receive the opportunity to minister to the community, through hut-to-hut evangelism.
We desire to let the people of Zambia know they are not alone, proclaiming the hope of the Nations. Be a part of impacting eternity that will change their life forever.

More on South Africa

Wondering what the cause in South Africa is or what I'll be doing there? Well here it is!

THE CAUSE

WHAT IS THE NEED IN SOUTH AFRICA?

Over 10 million people are living in severe poverty in temporary settlements called squatter camps, whom have come to the city in hopes of a better life. Without proper running water or electricity many have lost all hope. We can make a difference in their lives now. Discouraged by their circumstances and despairing of any chance to escape, many people turn to alcohol and drugs. This substance abuse contributes to higher than normal rates of HIV/AIDS infection, sexual and physical abuse of women and children, and increased crime. The harsh realities of squatter camp life breed hopelessness and despair.

THE GOSPEL

HOW we WILL SPREAD THE GOSPEL

Global Expeditions’ first priority is presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of South Africa. Aside from service projects, we will be presenting the Gospel in various ways, such as Personal Evangelism, where we will get the opportunity to:
  • Engage in one-on-one conversations
  • Share our personal testimony
  • Go door-to-door and share the gospel.
  • Minister and Pray for people in the community
And Children’s Ministry, where we will get the to chance of a lifetime to:
  • Teach Vacation Bible School
  • Give our love and energy
  • And present the love of Jesus to His children
As we minister to the squatter home complexes, we will be forever redirecting the path of their lives to eternity.

South Africa and Zambia

 Dear Friends and Family,

I have recently made the  life changing decision to go on a mission trip to South Africa and Zambia with an organization called Global Expeditions! Global Expeditions is part of Teen Mania Ministries and in the last 28 years they’ve taken over 74,000 missionaries, like me, to more than 68 countries worldwide!
I am so excited for this trip, because it allows me to combine my love for Christ and my compassion for others. I cannot think of a better way to spend my summer than sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others and allowing God to change my own heart and life in this thrilling process!

Zambia and South Africa are both located in Africa, but I will be meeting my team first in Dallas, Texas on June 17th. Then we will fly to Zambia and do training and preparation for the first couple of days. I will be home on July 28th.

While we are in Zambia, I will be sharing the Gospel through spending time in orphanages of AIDS victim and letting them know that they may not have parents here on earth, but they have a father in Heaven. Who loves each of them more than they could imagine. In Zambia, every 35 seconds a child becomes an AIDS orphan. Already, more than 710,000 children have lost parents and so many of them are left on the streets. Zambia has the highest level of AIDS orphans. I will also be doing hut-to-hut evangelism while I am there.

While we are in South Africa, I will be presenting the Gospel in various ways, such as Personal Evangelism, where I will get the opportunity to:
  • Engage in one-on-one conversations
  • Share my personal testimony
  • Go door-to-door and share the gospel.
  • Minister and Pray for people in the community
And Children’s Ministry, where I will get the to chance to:
  • Teach Vacation Bible School
  • Give them love and energy
  • And present the love of Jesus to His children
The total cost of this trip is $6,050 and covers everything once I arrive in Zambia. During the next few months I will be working very hard to raise the funds to go on this adventure and I want to kick it off by asking you to play a major role in this mission trip, by helping me with finances. Any amount you give will be greatly appreciated, and because Teen Mania’s Global Expeditions is a registered non-profit, your donations will be tax deductible! If you’d like to support me, send a check along with the included form to Teen Mania or you can donate online at  www.globalexpeditions.com/donate using my Missionary ID # 2709700

Your support plays a vital role in the incredible ministry I know will happen in South Africa and Zambia! So I have a very important question to ask. Will you help me be the hands and feet of Jesus in Africa this summer? Thank you so much for your consideration. You will help me make a difference in this world!

If you have any questions you can email me at noelle2madison@yahoo.com or call a Global Expeditions representative at 1.866.545.6239.

Sincerely,
Noelle Larson

Family Vacation 2014

August 11th - 14th was our family vacation! Everybody from my mom's side went to Honey Creek Lake and Resort. It was definitely a lot of fun with kayaking, jet skiing, swimming, biking, and boating. We also had fun playing volleyball, making bonfires and eating s'mores, and just enjoying spending time together!

Movies Under The Moon

Friday, August 22nd was my parents 27th wedding anniversary! So I got to babysit Sabrina and we went to watch Brave at Movies Under The Moon! On some Fridays during the summer, a park in our town puts on movies after sunset. They are free and so much fun!

We came early so we could get a good spot right in a front! We brought colors to keep us busy while waiting :)

They also had some people play music before the show

New this year was the blow up screen donated by the local gaming association! It is so cool :)

I will always love spending time with my little sissy! She sat on my lap the whole time :)

My Apartment!

On August 8th, I moved out and into my new apartment! They are right across from the college that I will be attending in the Spring. I have two roommates, Leah and Stacey. They are both really nice and fun to hang out with (an answer to our prayers). So here is a little "tour" of my apartment!
