Dear Friends and Family,
I have recently made the life changing decision to go on a mission trip to South Africa and Zambia with an organization called Global Expeditions! Global Expeditions is part of Teen Mania Ministries and in the last 28 years they’ve taken over 74,000 missionaries, like me, to more than 68 countries worldwide!
I am so excited for this trip, because it allows me to combine my love for Christ and my compassion for others. I cannot think of a better way to spend my summer than sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others and allowing God to change my own heart and life in this thrilling process!
Zambia and South Africa are both located in Africa, but I will be meeting my team first in Dallas, Texas on June 17th. Then we will fly to Zambia and do training and preparation for the first couple of days. I will be home on July 28th.
While we are in Zambia, I will be sharing the Gospel through spending time in orphanages of AIDS victim and letting them know that they may not have parents here on earth, but they have a father in Heaven. Who loves each of them more than they could imagine. In Zambia, every 35 seconds a child becomes an AIDS orphan. Already, more than 710,000 children have lost parents and so many of them are left on the streets. Zambia has the highest level of AIDS orphans. I will also be doing hut-to-hut evangelism while I am there.
While we are in South Africa, I will be presenting the Gospel in various ways, such as Personal Evangelism, where I will get the opportunity to:
Engage in one-on-one conversations
Share my personal testimony
Go door-to-door and share the gospel.
Minister and Pray for people in the community
And Children’s Ministry, where I will get the to chance to:
Teach Vacation Bible School
Give them love and energy
And present the love of Jesus to His children
The total cost of this trip is $6,050 and covers everything once I arrive in Zambia. During the next few months I will be working very hard to raise the funds to go on this adventure and I want to kick it off by asking you to play a major role in this mission trip, by helping me with finances.
