Goodbye Envita
I know this happened almost a month ago but these pictures are so cute that I couldn't not post them! I'm sorry I didn't post them sooner but I have been so busy catching up, doing schoolwork, and maintaining my health. These pictures are from my last day at Envita Medical Center!
Josie's friend and Josie. Josie came a little before I did and we didn't get to talk as much because we were never in the same room but she was really nice the times we did get to talk. She was fighting Lyme Disease as well.
Marla :) She is fighting cancer and give me a bright pink bracelet to wear with the words "Marla's Journey" on it. I wear it everyday and it reminds me to keep my spunky attitude even when I'm sick and it also reminds me of all my friends from Envita.
Nurse Jasmine
Nurse Grant
These were the lovely ladies that worked at the front desk!
Patricia, she is one of the sweetest ladies that I have ever met! She almost always had a smile on her face and was willing to talk to you about anything. She was fighting Lyme Disease.
Kelly. I loved Kelly. I saw a lot of myself in her. She likes to bake and cook a lot as well. Her brother was also getting treatment there. They both are fighting Lyme Disease.
Lush Addict
Avobath Bath Bomb- Our bold green Avobath Bath Bomb is not for lazy days lying back in the tub. On the contrary, it’s for gray days and mornings (afternoons and evenings too), when you just can’t shake your brain fog. Pop one into your bath for an instant jolt of invigorating, lemongrass-scented energy and fizz. Splash about in the shimmery green waters and let the fresh avocados and olive oil soften you up and leave you with softer, supple skin, as well as a brighter outlook. Next time you need a zesty refresher; all you need to do is Avobath.
Blackberry Bath Bomb-
The first ever Bath Bomb invented, way back in 1989 in Mo Constantine’s laboratory (otherwise known as her garden shed), Blackberry is one of our most beloved balls of fizz. When you’re feeling off color and out of sorts, detonate one of these classic fruity numbers into your tub for a relaxing soak into a shimmering, deep purple haze. With a burst of fruity fragrance that smells of juicy blackberries, uplifting bergamot relieves tension, and frankincense wraps itself around you like a cozy blanket dissolving all of your cares away.Space Girl Bath Bomb-
With blasts of sparkles and refreshing grapefruit oil, Space Girl is a Bath Bomb of astronomical proportions. You’ll be ready to explore the cosmos (bath time) in a trail of purple stardust. We put real popping candies into each one to add some pop to our signature fizz. Shaped like Saturn, the energizing scent of blackcurrant candies will make you hungry for your own space adventures as you soak away in the tub. It’s really out of this world.Sunny Side Bubble Bar-
If you've had a day full of disappointment, pop one of these sparkly bubble bars into your bath. As you crumble it under the running water, you'll start to feel immediately better. You just can't help but smile when you see the shimmery golden waters it creates. Maybe it's because citrus fruits only grow in warm, sunny places that their scents make us feel like smiling again. Sunny Side's orange, tangerine and lemon help reverse the troubles of the day, however badly it started. It'll turn your life Sunny Side up.Comforter Bubble Bar-
When life is getting you down, crumble The Comforter under hot, running water for passionately purple water and creamy, comforting bubbles. This massive slice of vibrant fruitiness gives you the feeling of being enveloped in a warm hug and gently consoled by the friendly fruity aroma of a blackcurrant candy. It was created to bring a real sense of comfort to people, just like a real comforter would. Snuggle in, and stay undercover until you’re ready to face the world once again. Even better, each bar creates two baths of fruity comfort.Fizzy O Therapy Bath Bomb-
Loosen up with a Fizzy O'Therapy in the tub when your body is feeling the strain. If you've wound yourself up like a pretzel at the yoga studio, spun one too many times in spinning class, or just spent too long hunched over the computer, drop one of these in the tub and let it go to work soothing tense, sore muscles. It's a spicy Bath Bomb with ginger, cloves, cinnamon and coriander to help you unwind. Follow up with a spicy Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar to keep your whole body in great condition.Inhale, Exhale Bath Bomb-
This is a bath bomb of two halves: created with the two halves of our Breath of God fragrance, Inhale and Exhale, each part will fizz at a different speed. The Inhale half fizzes quickly, allowing you to breathe in the neroli and rose oils, breathe in and relax. You can then lie back, and enjoy the grounding effect of Exhale, which fizzes more slowly to allow the opportunity for a long-lasting, indulgent bath. Mask of Magnaminty Face Mask-
Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe. Our inventors created Mask of Magnaminty to be the ‘ultimate face mask’, intense but not harsh or abrasive on the skin. We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition.Saturday, May 31, 2014
Lymie of the week
On Instagram during the month of May I have been doing a "Lymie of the day". So I decided to bring it over to my blog and turn it into Lymie of the week. I will be trying to do this throughout the year!
Our first Lymie of the week is Taylor!
"I've been severely sick for three years, since right after I turned 14, but I have probably had Lyme almost my whole life. My daily symptoms can be anything from headaches, migraines, nausea, intestinal pain, extreme fatigue, joint pain, muscle pain, back pain, insomnia, and more. I had to transfer to online school and completely change my life, diet, and honestly my friends since most of them didn't understand why I couldn't go out all the time. I was doing medical treatment but had a problem and changed to mainly alternative now. What gets me through the day is that one day I will feel better and when I'm not feeling good, my spoonie sisters are always there to encourage and support me. I know God has me sick for a reason, not just to be sick. This will be used for a bigger purpose and all I can do is persevere, keep my faith, and trust in him to use this to help others. "

DIY
Today my mom and I painted my old bookshelf to match the other furniture in my room better and also to look new and amazing for my apartment. I am pretty proud of us! Thank you Pinterest for this great idea-

Picc or Port?
For my English class I had to write a compare and contrast paper so I decided to write it on the topic of choosing between a picc line or a port. I also decided I would share it on here and hopefully help other people with their decision! Here is the link- Picc or Port?

Envita Prom
Today when I walked in for treatment, I was completely surprised because they had planned a prom for me! They had decorated the hallway and treatment room with pink and purple streamers, put pink tablecloths over the credenzas, brought yummy gluten and dairy free food, gotten me flowers, and even had a pink tiara and boa for me!
Next came Patricia! She is seriously one of the sweetest ladies there. She brought me a little princess kit with a tiara, glasses, and gloves! She also brought a beautiful dress for me to wear and a curling iron to do my hair with! It had been so long since someone had done my hair! I honestly could not stop smiling
Patricia also brought pink balloons and a helium tank (which we had extra fun with) and decorated the room with pink balloons and also gave them to patients in the other rooms! This was one fun filled day! I don't think that I could thank everyone enough. It made me feel so loved and made me feel like a prom queen for a day! Thank you to Katherine (for the flowers, Roz (for more flowers and for being a great, caring nurse and helping plan this!), Jasmine (another nurse who helped plan this), Melissa (another nurse who helped plan and recorded the video), Grant (the girls said he didn't help plan but he always makes me smile and provided us with some entertainment), Candi (for the lovely gift, delicious food, and for including us), Patricia (for the balloons, dress, hair, and making me feel like a queen), and Tori (for the smoothie and food). This was way more than I ever expected from being here and it made not being home seem less bad. And now I can always tell everyone I was Prom queen my senior year ;)
The window says " Welcome to Envita Prom, Envita Angels"

Here is the table before we put all the yummy food on it!
They even decorated my IV pole! :)
I usually get there before most of the patients arrive so before they came I had my music playing and was dancing in my chair! First came Candi who we have gotten close to over the weeks. Today was her last day so it was also like a go-away party! We were both very sad to see her go and will miss having someone to talk to on Tuesday and Thursday treatment days.
